In a recent development, the anchor organization for the Nigeria DNS Forum in Nigeria, Adebunmi Adeola Akinbo (Otunba Local Content) released the new date for the event as November 1st to 3rd, 2021. The Hybrid Event is expected to drive support from various stakeholders across the Country and beyond. He strongly believes that Stakeholders in the DNS Industry, Relevant Government Agencies and Government Organizations’, DNS Businesses and -related Companies, Academics and Financial Institutions, Civil Societies and User’s Community will play a key role to the National Capacity Building Project of the Forum.
According to him, they intend to call for fellowship and equip a thousand interested Nigerians about DNS, DNS Security, all relevant knowledge to stimulate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and turning the nation green. Much is expected from ICANN and African Stakeholders, considering the experience of the pandemic and the need to secure Africa, especially Nigeria, Online.
According to Charles Okenson, Acting COO and Secretary to the Planning Committee, the projected Fellows to benefit from the DNS Academy are expected to be goal driven, computer enthusiast’s and Nigerians with a Mindset to make things happen, irrespective of Class, Creed or Culture.
